xem: Hi Jon, anything to say (a little about yourself, age, location, etc.) before we go on with the interview?

Jon:
Umm well hi I'm Jon. Please feel free to call me that in game. I prefer
being called Jon to Award. It's more personal and I don't see why I
shouldn't be personal within our community. I'm 15 and from England,
Gloucestershire (southeast England)


xem: How long did it take to accomplish your current rank (Lieutenant)?

Jon:
19th September - 10th December (from memory) until I got ranked and
since then until now I've been working my way up until my current rank
lieutenant (hoping to rank up again soon) You can see the exact dates in
my sig


xem: What helped you achieve your rank?

Jon:
I got hacked shortly before I joined Cora after making about 270m in a
p2p dice clan so I had to achieve host on no bank. I basically tried to
help out as best I could around the spot, talking to the community in
the fc and being active on forums. In hindsight I probably should of set
up adverts to do a little more for cora which I think would of helped
me get ranked sooner.


xem: How long have you been a rank?

Jon: Since 10th December


xem: Are there any downsides to hosting at Cora Dyce?

Jon:
Not that I can think of. You have got to put a lot into the clan but
there's nothing that I don't put in that I don't get back out.


xem: If you were to choose one person right now to become a rank, who would it be?

Jon:
iRunes_V2. I hosted with him in my p2p dice clan i mentioned before.
Really great guy I've known him well before cora. Sorry I'm a bit bias
with this answer but I hope you get to know the iRunes that I know and
come to agree with me


xem: So tell us how you came up with the name "Award"?

Jon:
I've always been interested in buying a rare name. When I got host with
the name "HlY" i had every intention of changing it when I got the
money. I always tend to lose all my money I make so buying a name is
basically a way for me to have something to show for that money at
least.

But as to where I got it from I asked "Zebra" for a name
(he's an old cora rank "Brian" forums name) and he had "12345" or
"Award" and idk why but Award just hit me and I've stuck with it


xem: Cool, what's with your outfit? How did you come up with it?

Jon:
Well originally it was bandos with dfs and santa/phat depending on my
bank at the time. I then did Summers end quest so I could equip spirit
shields and used ely/divine. When the armour update came about I hated
the look of bandos but loved the new armadyl so I've always used that
since. As for my hat and shield, that's varied recently. It was red phat
and divine a few weeks ago but I went on a steak and got cleaned
for 3b including phat and divine.
Since
then I've sold all my rsgp and just use addy kite (t) cause I really
like the look of that with duelist cap tier 4(?) which I think looks
quite nice. I have every intention of in the future getting back my red
phat and divine as you can see in my avatar.


xem: You're considered a pretty fashionable host. What do you think of that ?

Jon: Well I like to look nice while hosting idk why just pride i suppose. But excellent I guess


xem: Ok, where does your bank value currently stand?

Jon:
I'm not actually keeping track of my bank atm. Basically every so often
while hosting I'll go to the bank and empty my cash stack into my bank.
I keep my stack in the last tab of my bank and never look at it. In a
week or two I'll withdraw what I got and I hope it will be a nice
surprise. At a guess though I'd say about 500m?


xem: Any last comments to say to Cora Dyce members/hosts/owner ?

Jon:
Well congratulations to xem our newest cora rank. Hosts do a bang up
job as far as I'm concerned so keep that up guys. Andy does an excellent
job of running the clan so I can't fault him either.

As for the
community I really appreciate you being there for us. You are what make
cora dyce. Without you there is no us. I think our unique community is
what differentiates us from competitors. Everyone's so nice here it's
just nice to be a part of it so keep it up guys love you all<3

Juliaz: Ok now tell me what a lot of us want to know, what is “cora”?

Andy: A name of someone that died 7 years ago



Juliaz: Ok , thanks for telling us. Your probably very busy irl, how much % of your day is spent on Cora Dyce?

Andy: Of my freetime? 60%



Juliaz: What do you do for the 40%, anything interesting?

Andy: Meeting friends, sports



Juliaz: Hanging out with Strugg?

Andy: Eh, not in my freetime. We have the same black humour which is pretty cool.



Juliaz: Yeah he’s pretty funny, always struggling with work you leave behind . What is your RL job?

Andy: I’m working in the administration of a company.



Juliaz: Studying anything?

Andy: Not yet, in 2 years I’ll go study.



Juliaz: What’s 1 word to describe Struggler?

Andy: Fat. Just kidding , 1 word? Funny



Juliaz: Lol What about 1 word to describe yourself:)?

Andy: Genius



Juliaz: LOL… i see your funny too

Andy: I’m not joking



Juliaz: Did you get good grades in school or are you just street smart?

Andy:
When I was in full time school I put like no effort into it. Now I go 2
days a week to the school and work after 1 of them (normal in Germany)
and my grades are really good. Probably because it’s a business job and I
was in a business school for 3 years.



Juliaz: Well you are a business man Speaking of Germany, do you like it there? Any countries you wish to visit?

Andy: Germany is the best country in the world for sure. I want to visit New York



Juliaz: Favourite song atm?

Andy: Favourite? You know I have the best music Dada Life - Happy Violence (xntrxx dubstep remix)

As
you may know, a very tragic event has happened in Cora Dyce... the
derank of Guitar. Many people have faced this horrific event and deal
with it in their own way, and few are lucky to witness it. We present to
you a Cora Dyce Newsletter exclusive...





It was a cold and lonely day in the streets of Falador as Guitar sat
helplessly on the hard concrete... Why did this happen to me? He
thought. What did I do to deserve this? I am just a plastic bag thrown
away and left on the streets to die, nobody cares about me. Soon I will
become a part of the scenery, because that is what I am, just an object.
Sure people walk by me and frown, but do they give me a second glance?
No.

An eerie breeze swept through the city and a cankling sound
was heard in the distance, getting louder as it approached Guitar. Hmm?
He looked up, and there he saw it. An empty can. He looked at it and it
seemed as if the whole world has stopped. This is it, it is my destiny.

He picked up the empty can and placed it infront of him, and with all of the power within him he preached these words...

"open @ guitar ... will take 40k bets"

The rest is history...

Joke of the week!


A guy dies and is sent to Hell. Satan meets him, shows him doors to three
rooms, and says he must choose one to spend eternity in. In the first room,
people are standing in shit up to their necks. The guy says "no, let me
see the next room." In the second room, people are standing with shit up
to their noses. Guy says no again. Finally, Satan opens the door to the third
room. People are standing with shit up to their knees, drinking coffee and
eating danish pastries. The guy says, "I pick this room." Satan says
okay and starts to leave, and the guy wades in and starts pouring some coffee.
On the way out Satan yells, "O.K., coffee break's over. Everyone back on
your heads!


Tragedy of the week


Soww has been deranked this week. Not only was he deranked, but left a very bad impression on himself by scamming not too
long ago in a different fc, and booting everyone from Cora PVP.
Soww, that is the wrong way to bring things to an end.
