What is the administration and hosts doing to get people in Cora Dyce?

Sometime hosts are waiting for better but sometime betters are waiting for hosts.. I will try invite my old dicing friend to dice here..So there will be more betters in cora dyce..

I admire you for having the balls to talk against the hosts, just that you know you aren't getting one anymore right?

It would be a good start if we actually had some administration.

 Yeah, thanks. If you can't get host for trying to make a change for the better then how can you get host? I already told people I'm not going to suck hosts d*, I try to get host my own way. If I offend some hosts in this thread I apologize but I'm calling it how I see it.

Good topic. I appreciate you posting your concerns and you're right that most hosts are too quick to complain having not even tried.

We have a topic in host section at the moment where we're brainstorming ideas to bring in new community members. We're really waiting for an alternative gambling method to be released before we start advertising.

Thanks Jon, just really sad because more and more often I'm seeing sometimes 4 people actually in the irc active and some hosts cba to even log in anymore. Yesterday I used Xine's initiative and got like 3 new people in the irc, and explained to another person (he found out about irc via looking up for rs3 dice clans) how the system works. Two of them went on a betting spree and at times the corps and recruits had one max pot after another without having to wait 15 min for a wager to be called.

If we had a bigger initiative for people to join then think about how much more people we could pour in.

What silver+gold dd hosts did (it was a requirement) was get 2 people in the irc per week.

How they brought them in.
- they scavened the GE
- spoke to random people and offered them free pots (500k-1m)

This was a weekly requirement the higher hosts had to do.
I've heard hosts saying things like "this isn't a job, we don't want to be like dd"
But if that's the case, then stop complaining about little/no bettors or you could change things a bit and start working harder. It's not as hard as most hosts perceive it to be. They just don't want to put the effort in.

Idk I quit hosting like 2 months after lol so I'm guessing they got more relaxed on the rules.

Im planning on starting my daily drop parties up again :/

It's not easy and it's just that I can't do this for like full time when I'm @ work but otherwise I would stream, drops, get ppl in the fc etc, I don't mind helping even as a non host.

This has always been the issue, not only here but since the begin of 2012. Before that there were plenty of betters and also plenty of people actually doing something. After that it went downhill in Ddyce, and also in SM when I joined them, even though I made bank there, there were 90% dead times but that's the thing YOU as a host yourself, need to work on.
You can't expect the clan or management to just work on it, if people know you do this shit, they will also start betting on you in stead of others.
I'm not saying this to sound like a smartass, I'm saying this because I know this with my 3 years of experience.

I do giveaways but besides that its hell dangerous to try and get people to Join. Cannons what ur doing is smart, but we need to take the advantage of using live streams to help bring people in. e.g. Zodz

I agree with you 100% but it does look like the administration (pretty much Andy) needs to take the first step, it actually does look like hosts are running out of money, Andy is the one taking the fees and I dont see where the 2b+ he gets a month go to. Even if he used that 2b to gather people you know how many new betters we'd have?

Yeah, sadly I think jmods watch his streams for proof to see if he still hosts here so talking about gambling, irc, or dicing is probably extra sensitive on stream.

Just remembered that when Andy asked people to post the names of famous 07 pkers I'm assuming he was meaning to get shoutouts or do some kind of deal to promote us. That's a step in the right direction

Ehh I just got them in to prove a point to some hosts saying it's hard to get people in here. Plus I was trying to say it was a sneak peak of what I can do without trial, but with trial I could accomplish more by doing events tree oriented and draw alot more people in here.

Seems like hosts are happy though with the new business, but at times there's only 1 host on and the new betters start logging which kills Cora's vibe :/

Pfft where have you been, RuniteGoblin's already bet 800m+, Ash, Over, and Fluffy also have bet Not a high percentage of the people I get here bet but the ones that do makes the 1m promotion per person more than worth it

Plus it appears we're attracting older betters back into here, some of them betting really big

yes, the promotion team is doing good. Maybe the host should collect some money to support them?

I agree with Cannons except for the private server. I think that a private server would bring in a lot of people because of other people that plays the private servers will come across (hopefully).
