I am going to give all you information, hope, answer your questions. But, in return i ask for you to read through this carefully, respect what i and other hosts have to say, and refrain from more raging.
At the moment there are numerous topics labelled "to andy/paradyce/cora dyce" and such. FIRSTLY these should be aimed at ALL of our hosts not just Andy, as together we make the team behind Cora Dyce. This also means that what hosts have to say you should also respect and take note of.
Some points i would like to make:
1. Cora Dyce in game; apart from 1 recent inactive host scamming, and some lacking time zones is running completely smoothly as normal. THIS is our priority.
2. We are listening to what you have to say, and we ARN'T blind. As hosts, and for Andy as the leader we CAN see problems, and although you are unable to see the ~host's only section~ of the forums, it is filled with polls, plans etc which WE WILL be putting into action.
3. These plans include giving hosts responsibilities to monitor certain parts of the forums so that Andy isn't piled by thousands of posts to reply too, and hundreds of mail each day. This will make all your enquiries/problems/suggestions able to be replied too much sooner.
4. If you wish things to run smoother, as dicers you also have a responsibility. This entails reducing the amount of spam you send to Hosts's and Andy's mail boxes e.g "please sponsor me being host", "please lend me money to dice", "please look at my host app". It also means that un-useful threads should not be posted, and that you MAKE SURE everything you post is RELEVANT to the section you are posting in.
5. I understand a lot of you joined forums, are active, helpful etc. is towards you getting a host rank ingame. Let me tell you that hosts are always being considered and polls being held for so don't loose hope but:
•Of course having an application gives us an awareness of you wanting to be host, also gives us bank/personal information.
•However, apart from this, the people we notice MOST and put polls up for in the hosts only section are those who are helpful INGAME - e.g Advertising, being a friendly dicer, helping out, doing some drop parties.
•Activity in forums of course also highlights you as an active person, however, sending mails to Andy about your app, "trying" to be helpful by unhelpfully pointing out problems we are already aware of etc. Will not give you credit in our eyes.
6. My FINAL AND MOST IMPORTANT POINT is the following: Cora Dyce in it's most basic form is a business. This means that it's power, functionality and success comes not only from the work of Cora Dyce himself, or the Hosts but also YOU as dicers. This is one reason why we give you all a 100m+ drop every Friday.
~ You are all complaining about Cora dyce being inactive, however i have two things to say about this.
Firstly: The fact that you actually feel ABLE to speak to him and complain shows the democracy we are in. Respect that he is friendly enough to be talked to in this way, and that we arn't ruled by a money greedy, uncaring tyrant who you all would be scared to address.
Secondly: In any business, or community with over 1400 people in it, how often do you see the boss weekly? Being in a school of over 1400 i can pretty much guarantee that the average student wouldn't see their headteacher every day- it is the teachers they see. Think of the 'teachers' as us hosts. We are here not only to host you but as part of Cora Dyce so treat/use us this.
Now, i think you can all see how unhelpful recent complaint threads are. I am asking you kindly to take a step back and see this situation from other points of view. I hope that you will be patient and wait for us to get more forum mod's into place, and that when we do you will see an improvement in the running of this forum.
