There are multiple ways on how to get to IRC, downloadable clients and webclients that you don't need to download anything for.
Our channel is #coradyce on server swiftirc.net
SwiftIRC (Webclient)
Link - http://swiftirc.net/index.php?page=chat&client=qwebirc
SwiftIRC webclient is great for begginners, very easy to use and doesn't have alot of features that overcomplicate things.
Mibbit (Webclient)
Link - http://cbe001.chat.mibbit.com/
Mibbit's a highly advanced webclient, it seperates idlers and people that are chatting, highlights the text of a person that's currently typing and has some useful features like: Google translate/pastebin and you can add smileys and colours to your text.
You have to choose Swiftirc.net as server before connecting or you will log into a server that the channel #coradyce doesn't exist in.
SwiftKit (Download)

mIRC (Download)
mIRC is the best irc client (highly recommended). It's resizable/has features like Highlights (makes a beep when your name is mentioned on the channel.)/Scripts editor (which allows you to create your own scripts within the IRC), and you can edit everything, choose your own background/font/colors and alot more.
Once you've downloaded mIRC and run it, first thing that pops up should be the options tab (alt+o) Fill in nickname and alternative nickname. Name and Email are optional. Don't use your real name.
After that go to servers and choose swiftirc.net. You only have to do this once, after that it'll automaticly keep connecting you to the swiftirc.net server.
Once you've done that click connect.
Type #coradyce into the window and click join.
Now that you're in the channel first thing that you should do is make your nick same as your RS username.
/nick Nr
If the nickname is already taken it will change your nick to Unknown.
Nr is now known as Unknown9837.
Once you've found a name that is available you should register it so noone else can use it.
/ns register password password email email
After you've confirmed the registration on your email all you need to do is identify.
/ns id Password
