Connecting my HTC one M7 to my new monitor Empty Connecting my HTC one M7 to my new monitor

    Post by Naseem 2014-11-02, 16:19

So i wanted to connect my phone to my new monitor , i bought a MHL cable (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cable-Matters-Adapter-integrated-Charging-Black/dp/B00ESM3Q7K), but everytime i tried connecting it to my monitor via HDMI it would message "input no supported". I then tried on another monitor and it worked with out any problems. Any ideas of whats the problem?

Note: When i used a DVI-HDMI cable, instead of the HDMI-HDMI, it worked but the quality was poor.

BTW the monitor is a AOC M2752VH

To my knowledge and reading off of AOC's website, it won't work. I'm assuming your other monitor is a different brand correct? Based on AOC it says that your computer(Phone in your case) is not compatible with your monitor. I'm not much of a phones person but, if there is any way to change the display settings on your phone, change it to "Mirror on Display" and then it might work.

Could you provide me with the link , of where it says my phone is not compatible with my AOC monitor. Because as i said already, it connects if i use a DVI-HDMI. However the quality is poor, hence why I want to use HDMI-HDMI.

    Hello,

This website marks if its monitors support MHL connectivity.

You will see that on this monitor, the i2769vm, it does list MHL as a feature (under more detailed specification). http://www.dateks.lv/en/cenas/lcd-monitori/82540_aoc_i2769vm_27_

On your monitor, the AOC m2752Vh, it does not list MHL as a feature.
    http://www.dateks.lv/en/cenas/lcd-monitori/83446_aoc_m2752vh_27_

It does not appear as though your monitor supports it.

    Sorry
