Yeah whats the ruling on that, I didn't get a final answer. I heard from some they aren't allowed, others said they can only win max 2nd, and some just plain said they can win.

Re: Hosts allowed on leaderboards?
Andy decided to remove hosts being allowed in it. Thread was made in the host section, back when I was host, about the situation.
Tbh, I think it was a bad move. We probably get 20-30b less wagered in the irc just from hosts no longer wanting to bet.

More competition. More gp bet by non-ranks to get first place.

Non-ranks won't try to bet because they know ranks will win 1st and 2nd place which is the case now *hint hint*. Take for instance me betting 30b in SM last week, after I put that number up nobody even tried to bet because they knew they didn't have a shot. Same thing applies if hosts are on the leaderboard, they know hosts will get the commission from them (non-hosts) not betting and can continue betting longer than they do. Hosts betting more than non-hosts won't really stimulate bets.
But besides this can I get a host to answer the question I asked on this thread?

Re: Hosts allowed on leaderboards?
Well if hosts are betting on a smurf account and people find out they will be removed from leaderboard. BUT if they get caught and have used those accounts for their own transaction points to make commission from their betting and the money from the leaderboard, I guess it's up to Andy to make the decision on that.semi cooked semi raw cod wrote:Connor wrote:Dogs>Cats wrote:coz hosts on leaderboard looks goodConnor wrote:Andy decided to remove hosts being allowed in it. In my opinion, if they were betting for #1 and #2 and taking their OWN cashin/cashouts action should be taken , such as a fine or even worse if it's happened for multiple weeks.
In conclusion, if we got an answer from Andy on all angles of hosts being on leaderboards, ranging from just using a smurf account to get on leaderboard, to using a smurf account to get on leaderboard AND take their own cashins to get transaction points for the commission that they've bet so they won't lose much GP when getting money from the leaderboard and the pays received every 2 hours from the transaction points that were received by cashing in themselves.
