    So yeah the other day I was talking to godfury and he asked me if I had any ideas for new games. I thought up one . Here it goes-:


    Game Name-:Guess the number.

    So yeah there is going to be a series of 1-10. The bot is going to generate a random number.(Suppose 5)
    The player is asked to guess the number !guess <number>


    Suppose the player guessed 5 then he gets 4x his bet.
    If the player guessed 4 or 6 then they get 2x.
    If they guessed 1 2 3 7 8 9 they lose the bet.


    I don't know how well this game might work but yeah gave it a shot Very Happy

    Flaws:

    1 gp bet = .1 (4gp), < .2 (2gp)*, .7 (0gp)

    *If bot guesses 1 or 10, it is a .2 chance at winning anything.

    Those odds of winning are shit. I would crank out the expected results over time, but it's 4am.

    This game would be a host verse player game...I think what we are going for is player verse player games.

    Just realized how easy it was to do math (although I might have been too tired to function):

    Betting 10m in 1m increments over time (theoretical)-- You lose 7 bets for (-7m), You win 2 bets (+1m x2), You win one bet (+3m).

    Doing the above will net you a huge loss over time (not to mention the 1 and 10 problem.

    Just use the expected value function.

    P(x)(X)

    0.1 times 4 + 0.2 times 2 + 0.7 times 0 = 0.8

    That's for any case where 2-9 is picked.

    0.1 times 4+ 0.2 times 1+0.7 times 0= 0.6

    0.8 times 0.8+0.6 times 0.2=0.76

    What that means is if you pool'd in the stats of everyone who played this game, you'd end up with a 0.76:1 ratio. E.g. Each bet renders 0.76x, x being what you bet. Standard deviation of 0.08433.

    Short and sweet - Game's not in the better's favor.. by a long shot.

    Noo haha, I like the concept; it just needs a little bit of tweeking so the house doesn't win as much as it's expected to.

    If the concept is good let me make a alteration in the idea.

    Suppose the bot generates 5.
    Then if better guesses 5 he gets 4x
    If better guessed 4 or 6 he gets 2x
    If better guesses 3 or 7 he gets rf.
