Both have overlived their run in my opinion. The Simpsons started declining a long time ago, Family Guy at the 8th or 9th season. Seasons 2-7 of Family Guy were an incredibly strong run. While i've caught a lot of episodes of The Simpsons on TV, i don't think i could stand watching an entire season in a row, a lot of episodes are just boring, the humor isn't witty enough for me. Family Guy can be quite ridicilous at times but original doing so and that thrown in with wonderful voice acting and jokes that actually make you laugh with good stories/characters. The voice acting of The Simpsons can barely be compared to Family Guy. Family Guy's voice acting is way above par.

Family guy is way better. The comedy is better and I love the flash backs and cut scenes.
