@Tom, write me a code to fix my laptop

Firstly this isn't a coding issue. Irrelevant topic.
Secondly, I got ur problem looking at the pics.
There's this part in a laptop called backup driver/ati interface.
When the laptop gets old or overheated, the parts actually shift position.
In ur vase the interface has bent and attached to the surface so well that whenever ur laptop lid opens, it pushes the ATI card with grt force....making the lid come off.
U have 2 options...
1. Either completely seal up the upper lid.(not recommended)
2. Give it for servicing while its still usable.
If it gets worse and damages one of the drivers...u have no choice but to buy a new laptop.
This was ny knowledge...takin up computer hardware and software in my 12th.

I knew it wasn't a coding issue lol I was joking but thanks for your input. The 'lever bit' isn't actually welded to the top of the bottom half. I think it's supposed to be screwed to the bottom so that when you open the lid, it acts as a sort of anchor so that the lid can open without displacing anything else. I guess it's become unscrewed over time so that it's actually backfired quite dramatically so that this 'anchor' is actually the very reason that it's being levered apart. I'm going to talk to my mum when she's home and we'll take it in for service.

yeah ure probably right.
There is a part which gives U that heavy feeling when U open/close the lid.
If that's the case U got nothing to worry about.
Its not as close to what issue I thought it was.
But yeah get ir closed up ASAP.
Processing speed..memory....itc....registers...
Interfaces all get screwed with exposure to air.

Haha, but for real- I'm at work for another 3 1/2 hours, but once I get home I'll do a more in depth look into the issue. For the time being (just from glancing at the pictures) keep it in a small area, room temperature, not exposed to large quantities of dust. A backpack perhaps? You don't want to damage those internals!

What in the world are you talking about?

1. There are no such things as backup drivers. Drivers are pieces of software that allow hardware to properly communicate with the computer. Even if you were talking about a backup drive, it's rarely used and wouldn't be a probable cause.

2. ATI is a very specific brand of video cards... And they were taken over by AMD. They haven't been around since 2006 LOL. Even if you're just saying it was the graphics card, how did you reach that conclusion?

Jon, I'm honestly not sure buddy. It's nearly impossible to tell without actually being able to look inside and see the different parts for myself, but it really doesn't matter. Keep it in a backpack in a cool place, then take it into the shop. You'll be good.

Maybe the hinges are broken or loose ..try taking off the screen bezel and tighten the screws

I only made this topic as a joke but thanks for all your suggestions guys. I wouldn't dare trying to open it up myself and fiddle about inside, in fear of doing some damage. I've taken it to a professional to repair for me. He knows what he's doing so hopefully he'll be able to fix it
