The background would not go with the background of our Forums. It wouldn't be noticeable at all

if you matched it all the way with the black part it wouldn't matter. I can fade out the edges to the color of the forum background so it looks like one.

We'll always be Cora Dyce. Just can't be called that in game.
Make the edges rough sorta like it is at the top and bottom (like torn paper effect) and the bits round the edges transparent so it's not an obvious line between where the banner starts and ends.

You used a downloaded layer style for that, didn't ya.

I tried making it transparent....not working...I'll work on it some more.
