this noob tried to scam me

so um i was on irc betting and stuff then a person named [Award] pmed me telling me to transfer money to his skiller or something like that. he also said by doing this that i can be a "potential" hoster. which sounds too good to be true so i asked poeple in #cora dyce irc to find out that [Award] is a noob scammer. I kinda went along with it then just logged.

yay someone would actually scam me. i should feel proud right? but yea. i kinda knew he was a scammer when he had brackets around his name. Watch out for these kinds of imposters ok bye

Same thing kind of happened to me. But the impostor made the person he was impostoring say Y6r (my RSN) in game so it was more believable.

y6r had this happen with a guy [Case]
watch out, apparently more people are doing this. always confirm with a host. although hosts probably wouldnt ask for things like this..

No the one who scammed me was a little bit more advanced, he made Case say Y6r in the actual game.

This happens very often, got pmed by imposters like these but i just write back off and that's all lol.
