Let me give you a HUGE tip mate. This just made a lot of people already have a negative attitude towards you. I'm not one of them because I know you just want to get your host app out there, but do not be one of those people that post it in the IRC, in the chatbox, make threads showing you changed the color of it, etc. People will go to your app and comment when they think you deserve it. I've personally gone to the second page of the section to go and vouch / comment on people's app. Make them want to go and check out your app. That's when you'll get known. ^-^

Asking people to vouch for you makes you look desperate.
Don't spam your app out there, because then people will go out of their way to post on it and say why they don't want you as host.
Just a few tips, you wait and keep active, do a lot of good in the community, and you will get host after some time.
