Best thing to use is Ghosty Robe tops, but it takes an extra 0.25 seconds/alch.

If they're alching gold bars, they're doing it wrong.

Making gold bars into regular gold bracelet not only gives you crafting XP, but it also gives you PROFIT while using the High Alchemy Spell.

Fletching Maple Logs to Maple Long Bows (U)
Then High Alching them.
Maple Logs = 50 Gp
Maple Long Bow (U) = 100
Nature Runes = 130
Alches for 127 (something like that)
Numbers are off, but it works.
Thats what i am doing, Gaining Fletching and Mage together
