I recently realized that more and more people are getting a chance to prove their legitimacy through trial hosting, which is great! However, it also caught my eye that many people are not doing well enough to proceed on to a permanent rank. Hopefully this guide will help you achieve permanent host and avoid the mistakes others have made in the past. Without further ado, I present..

V. Host!
I. Introduction
Getting trial host is in itself, a great achievement. Obviously you have been doing well enough for the Cora Dyce staff to decide that you are worthy enough to be given this chance. This is definitely something you should add to your host application and is something that could lead to a permanent hosting spot. In essence, trial hosting is almost like a test drive of a new car, the car being you. If you perform well, you will be bought or hired. However, if you fail to perform up to the expectations, you are sent back to the pack with the rest. I hope this guide will help more people achieve the former rather than the latter.
II. Video
Although you are a trial host, it is of the utmost importance that you video all of your bets. If there is a wager dispute up against you, you must be able to provide sufficient evidence in the form of video or refund the accuser. Having a clean record while trial hosting goes a long way toward your chances of becoming a permanent host. It also shows that you are ready and able to handle the responsibilities of being a full-fledged host! If you are unsure of which programs to download..

If you are not sure your computer has enough memory to hold all of your footage, download a screen-snapping program and be sure to take lots of them in case you are being accused of scamming. In addition, it is especially helpful to write down the names of each person who duels at you to stay organized.

III. Rules
As a trial host, you do not have access to hosting rules and therefore are uninformed about correct conduct and etiquette that a host should display. Here is a shortened version of all that you should know.
1. You must video all bets and keep the footage for at least 3 days.
2. You must take all bets between 100k and 5m.
3. You may not share accounts with anyone.
4. You may not take any wager above 5m.
5. You may not ask for bets from any player.
6. Do not rage at any better.
7. You must be in Teamspeak at all times while hosting.
8. You must make 25 impostors of your name before you can begin hosting.
9. No hosting Sevens or 60x2 without permission from Andy.
Breaking any of these rules will almost surely end with your de-rank, so read and remember this.
IV. Traps
There are many traps while trial hosting, people will try to test you. Be prepared to face anything!
1. Never get provoked into a verbal fight with anyone.
2. Never take any amount above 5m and accept the second trade screen.
3. Never call out a range of bets you can take that is not 100k to 5m i.e. "Open 1-5m"
4. Be prepared for people to create false scam reports to see if you can provide a video.
People will do everything to see if you really have what it takes to be a host. Keep your cool, follow the rules and there should be no problems!
V. Host!
Hopefully if you followed all of these steps, you have a cyan name now. If not, it is not necessarily because you did something wrong. Not every trial is meant to result in a permanent rank. As long as you followed these steps and did everything that you could possibly have done, there is a good chance that you will get another chance. Best of luck to all you hopefuls, keep everything here in mind.
I realize this should be in the Guides section, but no one checks there. Hopefully it will be more visible here. Please comment with anything I am missing here so I can improve this!
