I cast a protest vote. I spoilt my ballot.
I'm a libertarian so I would have voted for Conservative as the lesser of two evils but I live in a safe conservative seat constituency. So voting for my preference of the parties would have contributed nothing whilst not actually having any kind of statistic representing my objection to UK politics.
That said, I was hoping for some sort of Conservative/UKIP/DUP coalition last night after seeing the exit polls which I'll say I was very pleased with. Seeing Labour in power would have been devastating imo. I was delighted to wake up to a likely Conservative majority. I was thinking I was optimistic hoping for a Tory led coalition. I hadn't considered that a majority was even possible. I couldn't have hoped for a better outcome.
EDIT: I've just heard Theresa May is to remain Home Secretary. Gross. The first piece of bad news.
