USA started off on a bad note and got lucky they didn't concede during normal time.
Belgium hammered USA with 38 shots with 27 on goal. Deserved win for Belgium who will face Argentina in the QF. Good luck to them.

America's attention is focused too much on American Football and Basketball and that's where MOST of their sports athletes are. Very little are interested in soccer and most of the American soccer players play it for fun and not competitively anyway. For now, America is very good at soccer because of foreign players and a German coach. America's performance against Belgium tells me that while America is decent at soccer, they still have a long way to go to become a powerhouse team.

Yup, and that comes from the fact that Americans are too focused on their main sports that are properly funded. Hardly anyone is serious about soccer in America so it's not funded leaving the participants paying big money from their own pockets.
