Official Pool Wagers?

Now that's its "CoraGames" we can add a new game. 8 ball pool. This is actually getting really popular in our community and a lot of people play it. Why not bet on it? Although some people already do, lets make it official. We can xfer the desired amount to a host and they'll pay the winner excluding 10% commission of the pot.

Advantages :
- A new game that betters can enjoy
- A game that requires skills
- Hosts can make money like they used to.

Not really any disadvantages but there's one problem..

There are some nooblets in our community that may lie about winning the game, how will the host know for sure that he's paying the winner?
Discuss the problem and tell me whether you like this idea or not.

This is a game of skill,not a game of luck.
Why don't hosts just do it independently without this being an official game?

Anyone got ideas for this? I mean most of the members would be honest but there are just some froobcakes out there -.-

Shouldn't be betting without use of an official Cora Dyce host (as they are a trusted third party).  Would have to approve of the games by Andy before this could be greenlit.  Until then it's completely trust based and no scam / dispute can be handled by us.

We've got Cora Poker coming out which you can bet credits on. I would suggest pool as a project after poker. I wouldn't feel comfortable with using some other website to host this for us though, in this case miniclip. I'd want it supported by our own credit system.

true but lately more people play pool then poker. 

I doubt there will be an official pool thing, the bets will continue to be conducted underground most likely.

We can't develop new methods of gambling at the same speed that people change their mind. Cora Poker is a bigger project than credits even though it is sort of a 'side project'. When this started being developed, poker was incredibly popular. It would be a waste of time if we abandoned it now because it might not be as popular as it once was. Besides, I think that having the ability to directly bet credits will encourage people to start playing poker again. (I hope)
