Scammed....

came on irc today and was chilling when yxb|acey pmed me telling me to give him my money to buy a white phat, he said he will pay back on acey. i didn't think twice about giving him the money because i checked the irc twice and saw that the name was exactly the same. so i gave my money to a account named "answerthis". than he said "idiot, not real". than left...

the way i was scammed was that somebody managed to get the same exact name as the real yxb.



the circled name was the imposter....

please find a way to stop this, i have seen multiple people scammed this way lately.

please don't feel bad for me for getting scammed my bank. i just wanna help this clan and try to stop this from happening to others...

Make sure to check whether it's l or |.

please remember to use the basic irc commnd "/whowas"

with the imposter nick after it.

Even if they log out you will retrieve their host name/ip for us to ban.

it only works within 10 minutes...

Like mentioned before, it could be an "I" instead of "|". I was scammed like this as well, by someone impostering "Case". Think to yourself, why would he ask you to give him money, if he had money on Acey. Couldn't he just have transferred it to himself? Sorry to here

Not the exact same name. Look the one in caps (YXB|acey) and how the '|' goes below the 'a'. Whereas the one in lowercase (yxblacey) is directly in line with the bottom of the 'a'.

Lol, the guy who scammed you is a very old member, judging from the username. My guess is it's drunken. Sorry for your loss. Be more careful, and always ask for forum verification
