If you are lucky enough to be offered such an opportunity then you have to make the most of it. It was a very nice fun experience hosting and I hope future trials share the same views once they start their trial period. I wanted to make a guide for this just to note some tips and what to avoid to ensure you have a smooth run as a trial.
Before I go into the rules I'd like to state one rule in particular clear:
You will just get killed off, these guys seem to have deadly 9+ rolls. On top of that here is an example:
you host a 10m pot you receive 1m commission.
you lose a 2m pot vs yourself, you just lost max-commission in one go.
General Rules:
-Record your hosting sessions, especially at peak times. You never know when you will be accused and it's best to back yourself up with video evidence, if not at least witnesses.
-Be nice! After all you are promoting the dicing clan so be well behaved and avoid getting caught up with people who rage at you, just let it slide.
-Deal with the pressure; for some reason everyone thinks you are a robot and expect you to pay up fast or if you disappear momentarily you are accused of scamming. Don't worry about this just carry on as normal and not let it stir you up.
-Host all the time, every time, any time you can! There is good money to be made. ( I think possibly up to 300m+ is possible from these two-weeks if you tank them up)
IRC Tips:
-Quick short cut to type in names faster....Here is an example:
If the name is o09kssfd9akd
Just type the first few latters of the name and hit the tab button it types it out instantly.
Watch Out:
Imposter: Quite a few betters have an imposter name, whether it is them or someone impostering them, either way make sure you don't fall for it (I did).
Just make sure you are trading the right guy, notice his combat level before taking the wager so you can keep note of it. Also add imposters to your ignore list to make sure you do not see the trade sign from them.
Wrong Payout: sometimes, especially in peak-times you get spam traded quite often. This is where you might click the wrong name when trading someone and pay the wrong person out. Always right-click trade the winner at these times.
Pm's, lot's of people will pm you, in this case you have 2 options. Switch Pm to friends or answer every query, I went for the second option but it's up to you what you want to do in this situation.
Abuse: Sometimes you will get abused from time-to-time maybe even wrongfully accused of scamming by certain people, just be prepared when you are put into a situation like that.
Any other notes:
XV-Baws is a wierd kinda guy, watch out for him too.
