Unfortunately 95%+ of Americans know little to nothing about the policies of both candidates. I won't say who I am voting for simply because it only leads to conflict, but elections aren't won on the party platforms. Bad propaganda rules the election process today and I will be very interested to see who comes out on top simply because this is the first presidential race without a 'white Christian' as a contender. Obama is a half-black Muslim who had many questionable details regarding his birth country, and Romney is an extremely successful Mormon who paid around 15% on income taxes yet gave away nearly half of his salary to charity (2011). Both are completely different and hardly represent the "typical American," but one has to win.
To put this in prospective, JFK was the first Catholic elected as President, and even that was a huge breakthrough in tolerance around America (although he was assassinated).
This election could change the direction of our national debt, or even enable us to be energy independent from Saudi Arabia (UE).
